De Sutter Naturally, producer of wooden fences and accessories for esquestrian sports, takes over the company “Lenaerts’ Gates” in Bonheiden, Belgium. De Sutter Naturally expands its service in a niche market and, with the takeover, enters the residential market with wooden driveway gates for home use.
Since the takeover of the company “Lenaerts’ Gates”, De Sutter Naturally (DSN) now builds wooden exterior gates for home environment. Within three years, DSN wants to double the turnover of its new activities.
New exhibition and production hall
In a year’s time, the company plans to put a new exhibition and production hall into operation: “To increase capacity, we need to expand production. This is not possible at the current Lenaerts’ location. That is why we are building a new production hall of 3000 m2 in our site in Kampenhout” says Managing Director Jeffrey De Sutter. “The new building will also be an experience center where both our current and new activities will be taking place.”
Additional staff
The 8 staff members and workers of Lenaerts’ Gates make the switch to De Sutter Naturally, and move with us to Kampenhout. “Once the production in Kampenhout starts, we will need additional staff. At the moment, we are already looking for someone who can take care of the commercial part.” Says De Sutter. The current managers, Joris Lenaers and Christina Verreth, who founded the company 20 years ago, will certainly continue to work in Rijmenam this year. Their son Tom, who leads the production unit, has always played a very important role in the development of the company and will have an important function within DSN.
Lenaerts’ Gates disappears
The name Lenaerts’ Gates (Poorten Lenaerts) will eventually disappear from the street. The new activities will be housed under De Sutter Naturally. "A logical evolution in view of our international reputation and our ambition to market our new customised products internationally", says De Sutter. Because it doesn’t stop with wooden gates. Lenaerts also produces wooden integrated letterboxes, garden benches, planters and garden lighting. "Moreover, we want to focus more on innovation, something we have guaranteed for 45 years", says the managing director of De Sutter Naturally.
