High tensile
This knot is also sometimes referred to as a spiral or hinge joint knot. This knot has the important property that the vertical wire can even slide along the horizontal wire. By sliding, the standard mesh width of 8 centimetres can be reduced or enlarged.
This is of great importance for goats and sheep, who like to stick their heads through the fence. Because the mesh can slide left and right, these animals can pull their head back out easily and without risk.
This knot is ideal for hilly terrain because it can slide horizontally. The wire mesh happily follows the contours. The knot is ideal in combination with agricultural fencing.
Torus
The Torus is a fixed knot where the vertical wire is tied to the horizontal wire with a knot that doesn’t slide. The mesh cannot be reduced or enlarged, which makes this type of wire mesh impenetrable to heads, muzzles, feet, hooves,... This knot has no protruding parts which could harm the animals.
The rigidity of the knot means this wire mesh is less flexible for bumpy or hilly terrain.
Titan
The Titan - also known as a cross lock knot - comprises a vertical wire that is wrapped around the horizontal wires as a continuous loop using a knot which is difficult to slide around.
This variety of knot is used for larger animals. This knot - strong in appearance - is only suitable for 15 centimetre wide mesh. The mesh is difficult to slide, however, you can pull them apart.
This knot is mainly used for fencing very large estates or sites with, for example, wild boar.
