De Sutter Naturally will no longer use creosoted wood for its horse fences and this makes it a pioneer on the Belgian market.
Creosote products have been used on the Belgian market for a long time for railway sleepers, garden timber and fences, mainly because of its effective protection against wood rot. However, it also has some disadvantages such as a penetrating smell and irritation on contact with bare skin.
In addition, their use is severely restricted by the new European environmental standards. As a company with sustainability and ecology as core values, we therefore decided to stop selling creosote fences.
De Sutter Naturally has developed a production process that is more environmentally friendly and extends the life span of the wood to 20 years and more.
We offer a perfect ecological alternative with our new Densiforce® brown impregnated fencing, a protected trademark. The unique combination of the wood's origin, the controlled drying process and the impregnation to saturation with an improved impregnation agent, makes Densiforce® the new reference when it comes to protecting softwood against wood rot. With the Densiforce® label you can be sure of the best quality and durability in your impregnated softwood fence while respecting the environment.
